About Able Sport
Our Story.
Our Mission.
Able Sport was established in 2016 when Krige Schabort retired from professional wheelchair racing after a successful career. Krige represented South Africa, his country of birth at 4 Paralympic Games between 1992 and 2004. After Krige and Caron’s official immigration to USA in 2009 he raced for Team USA in London 2012 and in Rio 2016.
Able Sport now manufactures Mavrex racing chairs, Epic training rollers and sells Top End sport equipment.
Krige specializes in custom measurements and seating consultations to assist athletes of all levels to achieve their optimal racing chair position.
Able Sport is a family business.
Daniel Schabort, Krige’s oldest son joined him in the business in 2023. During COVID 2020 Krige bought welding and fabricating equipment and Daniel discovered a natural talent and love for this career.
Caron Schabort is now sewing all the upholstery for the Mavrex racing chair.
Other employees include Chris Holcomb, shipping coordinator, and Connie Skinner, bookkeeper.
