- Shipping carriers: tracking and delivery confirmation information.
- Service providers: email deliverability, security, and analytics partners may share data with us as needed to provide their services.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Process orders, generate quotes, build custom equipment to your specifications, ship products, and provide customer support.
- Provide measuring and consulting services, and maintain records that help with future orders, fittings, and warranty work.
- Manage accounts and authenticate users.
- Send transactional communications (order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets, service notices).
- Send marketing communications when you have opted in - you may opt out at any time (see Email Communications).
- Analyze and improve the Site, our products, and our services.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and illegal activity.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Athlete measurement records may be retained indefinitely so we can support future orders and warranty work, unless you ask us to delete them.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, restricted access to systems, and ongoing security monitoring. No system is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] so we can delete it. For young athletes, we work directly with the parent or legal guardian who places the order and provides the measurements.
9. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA") give you the following rights:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and (if applicable) sold or shared about you in the prior 12 months.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, to complete a transaction or comply with a legal obligation).
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination - we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Able Sport does not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CPRA. [IF YOU USE ADVERTISING PIXELS THAT TRIGGER "SHARING" UNDER CPRA, ADD A "DO NOT SELL OR SHARE" LINK AND PROCESS.]
To exercise your rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request". We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframe required by law (typically 45 days). You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
Categories of personal information collected. In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers (name, email, address, IP), commercial information (orders), financial information (handled by Stripe), internet activity (browsing on the Site), geolocation (general region based on IP), and inferences (e.g., product preferences). We collect this information from you, from your interactions with the Site, and from our service providers.
10. Other US State Privacy Rights
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights similar to those described above for California residents, including the right to access, correct, delete, and port personal information, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising or sales. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
11. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to interpret these signals, our Site does not currently respond to them. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
12. Email Communications
We send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices) that you cannot opt out of while you have an active account or order. For marketing or newsletter emails, you can opt out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email or by contacting us at [email protected]. We comply with the federal CAN-SPAM Act.
13. International Visitors
Able Sport is based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer and processing.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Policy on the Site and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
